What are the best flower bulbs to plant in your vegetable garden?

I am looking for the best flowers to plant around my vegetable garden. I prefer bulbs. Ideas?

The best flowers to plant around a garden are ones that naturally repell harmful insects. Both marigolds and nasturtium can handle a slew of buggy challenges. They thwart bugs that can harm your tomatoes, potatoes and strawberries including tomato hornworms, squash bugs, and whiteflies. Nasturtium’s flowers are also edible and have a peppery taste that is nice added to salads.

What is the best way to keep weeds down in the vegetable garden?

    It depends on your area.

I read that planting Daffodils around the edges of a vegetable garden will help keep out voles, moles and gophers, and they hate those bulbs.
