When is the best time to plant a flower garden?

I haven't decided what type of flowers, so that's open for suggestions.

I'm not sure if location is a big thing, but I live in Virginia.

plant when all danger of frost is passed. which should be this month. just find your grow zone and hit a few garden centers. pick some tall, medium and ground level or ground cover plants and have at it.

Best kept garden... In addition, Paula's very pretty. :)

Virginia itself has a wide variety of zones. But I just planted a few seeds, and it looks like some are trying to come up.

Be careful, though, in case winter decides to have a last hurrah.

    Good luck!

You can probably begin planting cool weather plants such as peas, radishes, lettuces, most greens, onions and potatoes now. Once you have reached your last date of frost (check in your local area for that) you can plant all the warm weather plants…corn, beans, tomatoes, melons, ect…
