How best to remove seeds from peaches?
Posted on Feb 27, 2010 under Best Seeds | 2 CommentsI want to serve poached peaches for a dessert, preferably whole or (less preferred) halved. What is the best way to remove the seed without making a mess of the fruit. I only have access to clingstone peaches.
I can’t think of any way to remove the pits without cutting the peach in half. You should be able to make a clean cut and twisting the two halves slightly while pulling apart. At least one side should release the pit. You can then use a spoon to gently pry the pit from the flesh.
There are also Peach Pitting tools available on line and at kitchen supply stores.

take the peach and what you want to do is first rinse in warm luke warm water. Then take the peach and immediately dunk it in a tray of ice water. For the coldest water, you want to put some salt in with the ice water. Then, take the peach out and pat dry. As soon as you do that, you want to take a knife and stab it in your thigh.
