What vegetables do you think taste the best plain?
Posted on Aug 25, 2009 under Best Vegetables |I don’t like carrots or celery plain.
I can’t think of any vegetables that actually taste good w/o anything on them.
carrots are my fav, also radishes.

Sweet Corn is really good (even without the butter and salt its still tasty). Also cucumbers are good, and cherry sweet tomatoes. Those are some I came up with that I love plain (though toppings or dips could be added)

Green beans are the only ones…. All of the rest need something on top, like butter or salad dressing, cream cheese and peanut butter.

Boil pea shoots in chicken broth.
I can eat a pound of that. Pea shoots are expensive though at least $6 a pound. It’s usually only available in the winter and also in Asian markets only.
Check out what pea shoots look like in the link below.

I eat raw baby carrots at least 3-4 times a week. I actually prefer them plain- without blue cheese or ranch dressing. I also like the way raw bell peppers taste. Then, broccoli- I like with a little butter and salt. Squash- just a little butter and black pepper.
