Gardening Tips Please?
Posted on Sep 01, 2009 under Gardening Tips | 3 CommentsIm planning on transforming my backyard into a haven..theres this big hill in the backyard and it has few weeds on it, no grass, and some pines.. and they’re all burnt from the sun.. and so i want to change it and make it beautiful.. any tips would help.. if u want pics please e-mail me at [email protected]
Sounds like you need to do some terracing and spend some time learning and deciding what you want. Visit some gardens, hang out at garden centers, look through books, and visit websites.

first get rid of all unwanted shrubs and trees. come up with your plan on paper and start one part at a time have your soil tested and add soil ammendments before you start planting. put in some kind of water feature pond, waterfall. get some big shade trees and plant them where they will provide you with the most shade.plant shrubs like gardenias, cammelias,and other plant that smell good and flower.there are alot of other things to do, but this will give you a great head start. good luck, richard

Just get rid of the weed first. Then maybe you should grow some nice ground cover plants such as Snow In Summer with some showy flowers like the peonies or hyacinths.
